I wouldn't say these things are niggles or faults - mods will improve the car depending on how you feel about the "niggles".

Better IMHO to see how you get on with the car first, then decide if you need to improve/change anything.

Not everyone mods their S, and the hot air things and ICE depend on the individual. My S is used mostly for weekend blasts in the country, so the traffic kangarooing thing is not an issue, and I don't see the point in spending a fortune on ICE when the engine is so noisy anyway when I drive the car.

In my experience, the 'kangarooing' has more to do with the car bogging then the drivers foot moving on the accellerator (forwards) so the car jerks forwards, the foot moves backwards, the car lurches to a standstill etc. etc.

if, before you set off you blip the throttle as dws says, you won't have any kangarooing problems at all and won't have spent loads of money on a CAI.

As for the stereo, it's really down to personal taste and how much you're into your music while driving. If it's a second car, then I assume it will be a weekend/nice day car, in which case do you need an expensive stereo?

Welcome!

Moff is pretty much spot on.

The "kangarooing" problem is down to Honda putting the air intake at the top of the radiator exactly the wrong place in traffic! The blip does sort it most times. I prefer my intake which takes air from under the number plate. Not sure there is a proven intake of this sort for 04's yet. The hydrolocking is only a problem if you go through a DEEP puddle to the level of the number plate! Thus allowing the intake to suck water in to the engine via the air box. It would have to be a lot of water as the filter box has numerous drain holes in it.

In the ICE front I like my tunes and wanted MP3 abilility so the OEM one was always coming out!. A common upgrade is an Alpine MP3 HU, the Alpine dash interface and replacement door speakers - all using existing wiring bar the earth and power for HU. This is down to your needs! Others have gone further

On the zorst front I had a single exit one on mine. VERY LOUD but loads lighter. Too loud for long distances and drowned the ICE. I'm now back to stock. I got to meets for my dose of HKS, AMUSE or Invidia I think the stock zorst is plenty good enough remembering the power gains are minimal!
