Hamerite works well, I mixed black with silver to get a darker gunmetal finish.

I recently done mine with the halfords stuff - although I'm not sure if I like them red anymore. I've got a can of black stuff on standby to attack it tomorrow!

I used Savage calliper paint on mine. Did it a long time ago and it still looks OK.

G2 is supposed to be very good but difficult to get hold of in the UK.

Can someone give me some tips on how to paint my calipers.

I'm worried about getting paint on the discs or pads ....

Do I need to remove the calipers? What should I clean them with first ?

Thanks for any tips

It is worthwhile spending a few hours with a 1" wire brush on a drill to clean them up before you paint them.

Good calliper paints are brush on so you won't mess up your disks or pads ..... unless you are extremely clumsy.

Take the pads out first.

Doesn't really matter if you get a bit of paint on your disks, the pads will soon clear it off when you use them.

mask the discs and use a small paint brush and dont use excess paint. Do 2-3 coat of thin paint and it should be fine.

I just painted my Ksports with Blue hammerite

Savage seems to last well.

You could mix gold & silver, to get the original plated colour.
