Default Calling all K&N fipk owners

Hi guys. Recently bought this induction kit and fitted last saturday. I love loud cars and used to have a replacement K&N filter and always had the lid off.
Anyway at about 6800rpm it sounds like it is rattling, 7000rpm it stops then comes back again about 8200rpm. It gets louder at about 100mph and the just keeps getting louder from there. (obviously on private land)
Is this normal and what everyone elses sounds like?

I've put foam pads on the bits it touches (strut brace and it also slightly touches the rad fan) but tested today and still doing it.

If this is normal im afraid to say i dont think i like it, i've even surprised myself here.

I have a FIPK GenII and I can't say I've noticed this.

Ran mine for a year, no rattles. I assume you've tightened everything up?

Yes tightened everything up, sounds like i need to check everything over again.

i also think that i've lost mid range power from the airduct and k&n filter i was originally running.

Just a thought....when you mounted the filter shield did you use the rubber mounts off of the OE air box?
