No they weren't posted they were stuck on!! They 5 were issued over a period of time, it takes a while to get through to sam!!!!!

At which point does it take to sink in that perhaps if I park there I will get a ticket

However it does sound like they haven't got a leg to stand on, there is no proper signage. It sounds like it would get thrown out right away if explained clearly.

just turn up in court on the day early and ask to see the duty - 8 times out of 10 they are pretty good, if you do this and then reckon you have a duffer look to get an adjournment

Update,

I have now taken advice from a parking professional, showed him the pics and correspondence. The following issues are quite laughable.

1. The police have different street names on the tickets and cannot seem to decide.

2. The vehicle model is incorrect in one of the tickets.

3. When questioned first we were told we were parked in a "no waiting area." When I explained there was no signage to covey this to a member of the public they came back with "you were parked in a parking controlled area"

4. The highways definition of a parking controlled area states every inch of area in a controlled zone should be covered using signs, bays or double yellow lines. Where she was parked had none of these.

Thank-you your honor!

I guess next issue will be to get this explained in court without getting royally shafted!!
