Just that Bankers drafts can also be forged - do you know what a lloyds bankers draft is supposed to look like.

Just like a cheque, you should wait until you are able to draw funds on the bankers draft, and this can take quite a few days for your bank to confirm.

I assume the buyer will want to leave with the car after handing over the bankers draft, if this is that case, you may be better going with him to the bank to satisfy yourself that it is genuine, or alternatively why not ask for cash.

Having said this, this does look to be a genuine website, have you rang the contact at that companies number to ensure that they are actually from there?

Hope this helps.

Even a genuine bankers draft does not guarantee getting paid! When issued, the funds to that amount will be in the account but it doesnt stop the funds being drawn out of the account after its been issued by the bank. I didnt realise this until i bought my S but i guess its a reasonable method of getting paid. But you can ring the bank who issued it and check that its genuine over the phone.

Hope this helps

Do you bank with Lloyds? If so, ask him to get cash and put it straight into your account while you're at the branch.

Can't believe your car is going for so little money

Well, the car has now gone.

After 15 months of ownership its sad to see her go.......

Still, who knows what I'll get next but I'll be using pedal power for a while.

Must give a big to Richard at first4car.com - great service and a good price for a dealer.

I have a couple of items for sale in the FS section if you want to have a look.

Thanks for all of the help and fun I've had with you guys.

Paul
