I finally managed to get the car out yesterday - the weather was great - 6 hours of top down driving

The car performed like a dream. Actually, no. It performed like it was on steroids!

From 2000-5000rpm, the torque and power difference is very noticeable. Pulling away from lights is just so easy - no bogging but you have to keep your eyes on the rev counter as the revs climb very very quickly. A real beast compared to stock.

The VTEC switch over point is at around 5600rpms - all hell breaks loose at this point. The thrust in power and torque is so different from stock - climbing to 100 is so damn easy. And the noise is sublime with the straight pipe and the Amuse dual.

At idles - the car is silky smooth with a slight rumble coming from the exhaust.

I might just add, that I didn't notice any popping from the exhaust on the over run unlike people using the Mugen ECU.

I also didn't notice any heat related bogging - the car was driving so damn well. The only thing I could falut with this set up is the bass tone when letting the car decellerate but this only occurs at <2000rpm. So it is easily avoidable.

Overall, I give a big thumb up to J's for the ECU

SB - unfortunately haven't had a chance to line up against a stock S - did try on the M3 but he wouldn't take the bate.

From 10mph, I recall waiting for the VTEC switch over was torture but with the ECU and the mods I have installed, it is a lot quicker. I don't think I would have much trouble in seeing off a stock S.

I'll meet up with AE at some point although his S is easy prey

picking on a lame six figure S2000 with its air con on as well just isn't fair sport AB

The mod list reflects my lazyiness - I'm just two days behind you for my third anniversary of signing up and the questions which can be answered by my sig are becoming almost a daily affair The chassis changes are good, we'll see whether the final drive quenches my thirst for a bit more oomph

3 years? I didn't realise but I've been signed up for 4 years and 4 days!!!!

The final drive will definitely see you putting multiple car lengths on an a stock S from a standing start but I've yet too see how it fairs whilst rolling with both cars at the ready. Nonethelee a very worthwhile mod.

Just having the ECU installed - it felt like the final piece to tie all my mods together - bottom end is strong but you have to be very careful as getting to triple digits is so much easier.

I suppose I better start searching for a used 04 diff

I didn't notice you're a year older, so to speak I expect a similar gain on a rolling start - taking advantage of the torque curve We'll see though. I don't thinnk I'll go for a new manifold, CAI and ECU - more cost effective (if somewhat guilt inducing for deserting NA) to get a supercharger if if the charger is used as speced out of box.
