driving home from work tonight and for no apparent reason cel came on , the car drives fine , any ideas folks i had a sports cat fitted about 2 months ago so im leaning towards o2 sensor lead breakage

 

Here we go again! Get the code read or buy a reader off ebay.
If the light is steady you can drive the car if it's flashing DON'T.
Don't reset it till it's been read, there are zillions of codes (Read the tech FAQ). blah blah blah.

 

 

Recently had major CEL problems, bought one of these, definately worth the cash.

Why do people think we are remote ECU readers/mind readers?

 

I think some people regard others as some kind of serch engine, cos they can't be arsed themselves.

Mods, can we have a HUGH banner every third post reading "READ THE F****** FAQ'S"

If you aren't going to act on the advice given or even bother to do a bit of searching for yourself, then thats the response you will get. I bet you would have had similar if a moderator had replied. And yes we are a friendly lot, just not going to do the leg work for you.

If you had replied to the responce AFTER having found out what the code was then you would have found loads of MEMBERS including me, willing to help.

Just don't knock a response or even two that seems unhelpful when you wont help yourself.
