Default CEL - Random misfires.

I've recieved my OBDII scanner today from ebay I've pulled my codes and I've had 5 codes come out. 4 of them are random misfires.

P0300 Random Misfire
P0301 No. 1 Cylinder Misfire
P0302 No. 2 Cylinder Misfire
P0303 No. 3 Cylinder Misfire
P0304 No. 4 Cylinder Misfire
P1359 Crankshaft Position (CKP)/Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I've had the CEL come on a couple of time. I've reset it without pulling the code with no ill effect. It's mostly come on from coasting to a stop in traffic after normal driving.

The last code that came on was when I accidently kicked the throttle getting in the car when it was warming up. It never hit the rev limiter (6k) but it was on a cold engine. I'm guessing this is what caused the P1359 code.

I'm tempted to do nothing. The car runs perfectly. I'm very pleased with the scanner. It's already paid for itself Just wish I knew what the car was trying to tell me.

Spark plugs were change approx 1000 miles ago by Honda. It was recall work that was never carried out.

I can pull them but I'm not sure what I would be looking for

Not sure on the s2k but I know on past cars i've owned the crank shaft sensor can cause misfires.

Bit of a guess but the sensor might have got a bit damp (over our nice wet winter), thrown an error code which in turn has brought up the 4 misfire codes??

Make sure the plugs are not loose, the right torque, and the gaps are correct.

Check they are the correct plugs too.

You been getting the CEL since the plugs were changed, or before?

Would be odd for all plugs to be defective though, but worth some cleaner! May be the CPS itself.

The last fault is related to the others I think, as the crank sensor is used in determining a misfire. It picks up a blip in the rotational speed. In fact they are all related!

Reset see if they come back

Do you have the details of the scanner? Not been able to find one on Ebay.

This is the problem with intelligent testers. They're all but that.

Could be almost anything with the description it gave you.
Could be:
Problem with the crank position sensor
Problem with the plugs (unlikely to a plug problem itself but possibly the way they're fitted)
The Coils (same comment as above)
Earthing problem in the electrics
Wire Harness Fault
Some electrical connection fault
Worn Timing Chain
Whole bunch of other stuff

I'd start off making sure all the wire harness connections are made correctly and that the earths to the engine are tight and clean.
