Default Center Gravity visit

I know there have been a lot of threads on here talking about GEO specialists and what a difference it makes to your car..

well here's another....

I'm not going to go into too much detail but my car spun off the Autobahn in Germany and the GEO was nicely messed up.. I thought it was driving well and was well planted before the accident... but afterwards things were a bit skittish to say the least..
So after a trip to Center Gravity and a full day later, my Car was given back to me and a test drive was embarked upon..

Fooking hell.. What a difference a properly setup car can make to the overall driving experience. It stuck to the road in a way that I had never felt before, I felt as if I was finally in control of the car, and that it wasn't going to do what it wanted, when it wanted. I cant be overly technical as I am not that way inclined but, prior to Chris's magic, the car would pull to the left on acceleration, dive to the right on lifting, squirmy under breaking, and basically a pig to drive. My car was too low to begin with and hadn't been lowered properly so the dampers were not doing their job as it was sitting on the bump stops..
TBH, I was sick of the car by the time I arrived at Chris's workshop. Now I love it and it drives like never before. I can fly along the motorway and not worry about hitting undulations in the road at speed and wondering what the car is going to do. driving now is not a draining experience but a great experience.. Smiling like a Cheshire cat these days.. The S2000 is a truly great car once set up correctly.

And as for Chris and Jayne.. Wonderful people with a real love for what they do and genuinely give a fiddlers for the car and me.. Chris actually came in on his one day off to fit me in!!

So in summary, Love the car again, absolutely wonderful experience with the center Gravity crew now lets hope the weather keeps up for at least another couple of days

EirinnS2k, what did ya get done? Just a geo setup? Anything replaced? Coilovers?
If ya don't mind, could you tell me what it cost? (PM)
I'm looking into doing the same and I guess I'll have seized this and that as my car is 10 years old and a DD. Will be moving to Liverpool for a few months and I am thinking of calling down to COG to get mine fixed up too.

It's amazing what a little bit of tweaking can do to a car. Enjoy the car, and fingers crossed the weather stays nice for you to enjoy it some more. A added bonus I found was that after a visit to CoG my front tyres wore in a more even manner, meaning they lasted longer and saved me money in the long run.

Glad to hear a glowing report about CoG again. They have been getting some stick on here of late which is a shame

Just try and keep it on the black stuff this time

John,

drop me a pm.. I had a geo and my coilovers setup properly..
A couple other bits and pieces need tightening etc..

Great job all round. Love the car now
Nobody in Ireland has the same expertise and knowledge that Chris has. My advice is get over there and give it a go. I know you wont be dissappointed
