Default CF centre console..

Concerned it might look a bit too like the fake CF too crap too tacky branded car airfreshners they sell in halfrauds but would still be interested to see it in the flesh..

Anyone seen such a thing / have comments to add?

I would, it looks great.

Only downside I can see is it would get scalding hot in the summer when the car is left parked in sun - unlike the carpet.

would like to see how you would go about fitting it, i got the muz leather consol cover last week, easy enough to fit but that looks like it wont bend at all.

Is it LHD specific - can't tell from the pics.

Does look good though.

There are instructions for fitting on that site - seems you just flex it apart and snap it onto the tunnel.

I have had a couple of email convos with Nello at that place re a CAI and he said he is happy to do a group buy on that so... pretty sure he would do a group buy on this too if enough (5) people were interested.

Agreed, looks a bit of a pain to fit. I hadnt thought about LHD / RHD but it looks reasonably generic either way? Is there a huge difference between LHD and RHD for the leather?

I think that if there are any differences for LHD/RHD it'd be easily/quickly resolved with a dremel type tool, and covered by all the plastic trim that goes back ontop of the console.

Looking at it though, the console layout looks like it's just symm-opp, as is the carbon bit, so I don't see any real problems from that pov.

I assume the power cable to the cig lighter is left side irrespective of RHD / LHD? (ie the slot cut out at the glovebox end in the CF?)

Looks loose enough to move to either side to me, or simply cut another slot in the console if not.
