chain tensioner silence
I am glad to say changed my engine oil and the tct noise seems to have gone been a week now and still silence lovely
Also I would highly recommend using shell engine oil I have used there oils in all my cars with good effects and no problems
Also my car seems to be using less oil now on vtec . Cost me 60 for 2x 5litres of fully synthetic 5w30 on ebay about 50 pound
I know bmw used or use it and Ferrari use it now I think also

My tct has been a lot better behaved since I started using Fuchs titan oil in mine. And again, oil consumption has dropped to zero. It's not used a drop for well over 2 months

Yep, +1 on this one. I only use Fuchs Titan in mine and it uses bugger all! And my TCT was rattling like a bag of nails a few weeks back until I changed the oil and it's sweet as a nut now

I thought hx7 was semi synthetic? This is what I believe lookers nottingham were using when servicing my car when the previous owner took it there. I emptied it after a thousand miles or so and replaced it with fully synthetic when I got the car. Granted it did use a lot less oil when running the semi synthetic but I thought that was pretty standard when switching to synthetic oil, i.e. that engines will always use more of it...
