Ironically when I was car shopping a while ago, if I'd have bought one of each car I looked at I'd be up on every single one.

Esprit V8
911 Turbo (996)
Ferrari 348
Noble M12 - bought this one

Been a bit quite on this thread ..... I've just been happy to read people's opinion and views on it all . I gave myself until today to decide .... one because I wanted to go to the meet at beaulie the weekend with an open mind and two due to the group buy on the tts kit ended today .

After reading people's thoughts on it , a honest view of myself and what I want / like / bought the car for I've decided to not supercharge it . The reason I sold my e92 m3 was to get into something cheap and fun , which the s2k is . The other factor is ( what quite a few have stated ) that these cars are getting rare and even rarer in low miles and good condition such as mine , so I do feel I would be spoiling it some what with such a big modification.

so I'll be keeping the s2k pretty much as it is ( well might get a k&n ) for the rest of the summer and then possibly look into selling it come winter /spring time and look at getting into a Porsche of some sort ...

anyway thanks for peoples time on this thread

cheers josh

As I said the other day mate, if you've got an itch to scratch and the funds to do it, why not move on. You'll always have the experience if not the vehicle itself. Good call I think.

Bit late to the discussion, but I love my SC S2000.

I went the HKS route, and although the customer service is non-existent, sorting the BOV issue is all that needs to be done.
As for the whole discussion about low mileage etc.... I think you should do with the car what will make you happiest.
My S2000 is an 05 and just gone past the 42K mark. Was sub 40 when I put the charger on it. Great fun!
Not ideal as a daily due to being quite thirsty now, but had a great 1K mile+ trip to Nurburgring and back in it. 25mpg on the roads, 11mpg on track.

The cars values are fluctuating, and not going to skyrocket over night. So unless you plan on locking it in a barn and handing your keys to your children to sell, I doubt there will be any meaningful profit to be had.

If you do decide to charge it, you wont regret!

Done a few FI S2000's now. I've been asked about power figures and torque.

Best SC S2000 i've done with bolts on e.g decat, exhaust, manifold etc was 487/305 @ just about 20psi. Turbo was 551/380 @ 21 psi.

Issues with both:

SC: Belt slip
Turbo: Heat (although never had any real heat issues), biggest is none bracing of a turbo manifold thus they crack!
