car auctions are bent - as your dad will no doubt confirm

did it definitely sell?

a lot of sold cars mysteriously reappear hours or days later

could also have been an import - they are available for

No it was genuine, repo in 6000mile condition, a friend of his bought it.
uk or import?

repos rarely come with all the keys, book, etc, but that's not insurmountable

December can be a good time to buy a car - I think it will get even better over the next few months as post-Christmas bills arrive and the economy worsens

Not only the auctions that are bent, a lot of the cars will be too.
Spent many a day at Manchester, you should see the truck auctions!

I have seen a half dozen Merc Dealers there buying up whole fleets of Merc vans at inflated prices just to protect their own stocks in the showroom. And as for dodgy deals, dont get me started

Actually 17k for an 06 with 6k miles isn't particularly cheap. It's cheap but not suspiciously so. My 05 with 45k is realistically only worth 16k. So 17k as an auction price, for the 06 is about right.

It's expensive for an auction in December!
And if a trader paid that for it they have little idea of its market value tbh.

Nice free ad.
There are no used S2Ks on that site even!

17k is a serious bargain chilled. Your car has done 8 times as many miles and is another year older, for it to be 1k more expensive is good going. That said, it's not suspicious to me just the right side of a bargain to be straight imo . good buy!

now I'm off to cry about the value of my car!
