Check engine indecator
Hi everybody,
in my car i had a noise from the cataletic converter so i took the car to an exhaust garage and we put the converter down clean it from the filter and put back again, then the noise hase gone but the problem that the check engine indecator light is on i think may be from the sensors at the converter the problem that i don't want to show it to the company because i am afraid to remove my warranty because i changed something with the exhaust, so do you have any idea how to solve it out.............

You can reset the CEL by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes - if the light reappears you have a problem - it may not.
Simply removing and replacing a cat ought not to affect the warranty unless they broke something, but your warranty terms may be more anal than ours.

You can not clean a catalyst filter (Monolith is correct term) if you have attempted this you will remove the coating on the catalyst which in a nutshell ruins it.
What is happening to your car now is the rear Lambda sensor is picking up a value that is similar to the front, in layman terms the EMS is telling you the cat is broken!
You need to confirm this by getting the code/s read in your ECU (the engine check light being on means there codes in the system) i am sure you will find the code lists within the FAQ section, you are looking for 'Catalyst below threshold'
