Check engine light
On Friday at Goodwood we got there early and spent a while hooning around the car park practicing my drifting !!(Wet field)
Going home, I started the car, got 2 miles down the road and the 'check engine' light came on. Drove home and whipped off the battery lead for the night - reconnected it in the morning and took the car out. The light stayed off but came back on again on Monday.
Took it to 'my mate Dave' at the Honda dealer who reset it with the tablet they use.
The CEL came on due to my drift-fest which confused the bejaysus out of the car. Apparently if you drive for a while after such antics the car can sort itself out but if you switch it off it can cause confusion.
Mines perfect again now but I thought it worth mentioning here in case anyone else gets it.
It is a 2 minute dealer fix so don't get fleeced.

You should always really check the code before resetting.
I dont buy his explaination though. And using the tool is only the same as what you have done with the battery, so if the CEL has been on twice, I would bet on it returning at some point...
Some dealers charge, some dont! Mine were good.

I had the CEL after spinning at Bedford (probably driven the engine backwards slightly). I did a reset (removed the fuse for 30 seconds), and it never came back.
Sounds like you may have a problem.
I've had the ECL come on after a dyno day.
Confused the hell out the car having the front wheels doing nothing and the rears spinning at 100mph.
Took about 5 re-starts (over the next 3 days) to go out.

Shouldnt do Bibbs. I had mine dyno'd a number of times and no probs. The only sensors on the front wheels are the ABS.
I never got to check the code though as I CBA.

It was reset on Monday and I've had several late evening blasts this week with no problems so its definately sorted.
Cost me bugger all to have it done but thought it worth posting in case anyone has a similar issue and is about to get fleeced.
