I tried the hand thing, and the result was cold hands, and a very thick uneven layer of wax. Would it be worth microwaving the wax for a bit to warm it up ? Using zymol, the house would smell ever so nice.

I used to use autoglym and then thought I would try the Mer and for me the Mer was a lot easier to use, didn't leave a load of powder and the finish was better. I have not seen anyone else that has used Mer or are they too frightened to admit to it

Just to add another option to the 'pot' - I use P21S cleanse / wax /wheel cleaner - all excellent products (starter kit costs about $50 plus shipping from the States, so no too pricy either).
As for the leather - it has to by Zymol Treat. Awesome stuff
I ordered the Zymol Titanium starter kit today and while on the phone, the very helpful chap did mention that it is too cold to apply Zymol effectively at the moment. The system states 65 degress, but he asked the Zymol company the absolute lowest temperature it will still work at and they stated 55 degrees, though it will do no harm - just a no good - hence a waste of product.
Not sure how cold it is where you are but it's chuffing freezing down on the South Coast!
Hope this helps.
Simon.

Zaino rules! I have tried Zymol and it just doesn't come close.
Both have amazing reflective qualities but Zaino lasts a lot longer. I have a black car which as you guys know is a bummer to keep clean. I can keep going for more than two months without a wash and the shine is still great.

Now I know my post is going to get those sparks flying because I have used only Zaino and in my opinion I do not rate it highly. I have applied 6 coats in total over the last 2 months and I am not happy with it. Maybe it is because my car is black or I drive it in the rain and therefore mud on country roads but after each wash I am unhappy with the results.
Maybe I am applying it incorrectly, rather unlikely situation because I have read and re-read the instruction and don't seem to be doing anything wrong. One major thing I have noticed is that after washing and drying my car there are drying spots left over and dirt marks. I am using Zymol wash shampoo and a chamois to dry the car and have done the same for all my cars. But it seems not to clean very well and I normally have to wash the bonnet twice and the shine isn't that great IMHO. I will wait for Zaino to run out and then try something else. I do have another possibility, I would like to see other peoples cars who are using Zaino to compare and maybe it will turn out that I am not using the product in the right manner. All these people can't be wrong, surely not!
