Default Cleaning ?

My car is now two months old and I've decided to make the time to wax it.

I know there have been a few threads on here about waxing, but was wondering:

1. What do people use to wash/prepare their car before waxing it?

2. Where can I quicky get Zymol from (I live in Sheffield), and how much is it? Any top tips using it?

3. Can anyone recommend another wax in case I don't get hold of Zymol for the weekend?

4. What do people use to clean wheels?

5. And what about cabin/leather?

6. Any other top tips for cleaning?

Thanks

Dean

Thanks Mark. Sounds like Zymol may be worth the cash.

I think just about everyone who has tried it would say that it's worth the cash, Dean. Zaino is raved about on the US board, and by a few people on here who have tried it, but it's just too damned inconvenient to get hold of.

AutoGlym do a range of stuff which I've used in my pre-S days with decent results, but it's quite frankly streets behind Zymol. You can get them from Halfords.

But if you can afford it, I'd recommend you give Zymol a go. It requires a bit of elbow grease when you HD Cleanse the car for the first time, but it's well worth it in the end.

If Victor remmington was ever to wash his own car I'm sure he'd buy this company too.

Zymol really is good. wasn't sure wether to beleive the hype, but having used it WoW

If you are unsure what to get try and get up to Malton Specialist cars. Theyare very friendly and helpful and have most of the products as demo items. They willl talk you through the complicated "Process", not just washing the car anymore.

Makes it so much easier to clean to a shine.

I have had a complete kit now for a few weeks and am dying to try the wax out.

My question is this:

How easy is it to clean due to the weather conditions at the moment and one does not have a garage so it is damn cold? In the manuals it say's that the wax should be applied when panels are warm and i do not fancy standing out side with a hair dryer warming the panels up first ?

Mind you it would make for some good pics almost as good as the kung fu pants that someone wears?

I hate to be a Zaino snob (and Zymol is very good). But if you don`t have Zymol and look for `the` polish solution, go Zaino.

Buying any other will just mean you need to strip it. Zaino truly is the king of polishes. Once its on in its multiple coats you can literally clean the car without water (I don`t advise it but you can). It is THAT `slippy`.

With OR without KFPs™.
