it needs a good steam clean first

Normally Use Gunk if I have to do this but not with the S so far

Whole concept of a steam clean is that the water evaporates before it can cause problems.

I've used one of the home steam cleaners with excellent results. Also lets you concentrate on specific areas. Not much use for a really manky engine though.

Kit available from halfrauds for about a 10er, I cant remember what its called but it comes with 2 bottles of stuff, 1 cleaner and 1 detailer - I thnk its called cd32 or something. Anyway, did my Impreza, great results
