Default That Clicking noise from the rear wheels

Hi

Just a quick question, i had a quick look through the FAQ but couldn't find the name of what I was looking for,

My S has developed that annoying clicking noise from the rear wheels when reversing, I remember a group buy on a while ago from hardtopguy, I think, for the bolts that you replace to stop the clicking, I just cant remember what the name of the bolt was, Im guessing its some sort of centre hub bolt?? But was hoping to clarify it before ordering

Can anyone tell me so that I can order them from HTG?

Thanks in advance for any help

yes.

if it where the pads it would be one click as they moved to a different position in the caliper, if it's a series of clicks it your nuts

you can fix it with your current nuts, but you're not supposed to re-use them, you hammer in the collar to lock them at a set torque.

you'll need access to a 220lb/ft torque wrench too

Hub nuts are not always are series of clicks. I had the hub nut issue on one side of the rear of my old car and that would only make one click on change of direction of drive.

I only ever get it when reversing after the car has been in the wet and left to dry...

Might be worth checking how much they cost from Honda.

Are you sure that isn't just the brake pads "rusting" to the disks ? Quite common e.g. after washing the car.

IIRC the new nuts are also deeper than the nuts installed on the early car. Possibly why the higher torque setting is required.
