Default clonk

Hi GBJHCH9 here i have noticed a clonking noise from the rear of my car it will occur in reverse as well seems to be harsher the quicker you pull away, i have just replced the drop links what should i be looking for

Found that my o/s rear caliper is the culprit every time i stop then pull away it makes this metalic clonk had a look with a friend and could not see any probs. will invest in new pads let you know

Check that the caliper has all the shims in place, you should have 3. One in the caliper itself and 2 that fix into the caliper bracket. The symptom you discribe is pad rattle and it can occur with cheap aftermarket pads that are too loose fitting in the caliper bracket.
