Default Clutch problem

At Donington last year I had a clutch problem. I was struggling to get it into gear, and the pedal was loose for the first half of it's travel. I took it to Honda, and it was a minor problem that they fixed. The sheet says "loose pivots".

I've now got the same problem again, but not quite as bad yet.

Does anybody know where I should be looking? I assume as it's hydraulic it's the pedal end - i.e. the pedal is moving without putting any pressure into the hydraulic line.

Dembo - take a look behind the clutch pedal. There is a rod with two 14mm nuts for adjustment. Loosen them off and adjust the rod to minimise the play in the pedal. This should fix it. Had the same problem on my brother's car - now fixed. Should only take 15 mins. Worth a try.

Bump.

Is this behind the clutch pedal? It looks like there's something like that that stops the pedal coming too high, but adjusting that won't help as I need to disengage more than I can.

Where the pedal is loose, the rod going into the cylinder moves, so I don't think it's the pedal that's at fault, it's whatever is beyond that.

Also worrying me is where the rod disappears into the cylinder it looks wet. Or is it meant to be lubricated like that?

Might be time for Honda.

taste the wetness. if its salty its clutch fliud and shouldn't be there and there is a possibility that resevoir seals are leaking. hense difficult to get gears as loss of pressure
