Frisky, the A pillar trims are very easy to remove (inclip at the top and then lift verticaly away from the dash) but the top trim along the windscreen is held on with 2 Torx bolts (sunvisors) and 2 bolts inside the light enclosure - these 2 can be a PITA to remove

This will be fine except that, if you have are a hard-top owner and you wire this clock in your position during the soft-top months, you will have to uninstall the clock come the winter. The problem is that the hard-top is very thick (like perhaps an inch) due to the insulation. This virtually eliminates that space above the interior light.

I got a 'nurses' watch from Argos for a few pounds, cut the stap and lugs off of it and velcro'ed it on top of the spare switch socket on the dash. The watch has luminous hans and numbers so you can see it in the dark.

If that's a nurses watch, you've installed it the wrong way up

Thought.... is this deja vu - or have we been here before

Well I took a photo of mine last night but now realise I need some web space somewhere in order to include it here in a post!

Anyway, sounds like some other people have already done it and if you have a hardtop then you can't put it there. I knew there was a good reason not to spend

Good choice, Marc! So did I, a few months back, after 2 1/2 years of being sorely tempted but finding it hard to justify spending a few quid short of a grand on a watch.

The joys of interest free credit finally swung it! What with the car as well, I'm a one-man consumer boom! Heh heh.
