Cosworth panel filter with drilled/modified air box?
Guys Im not to clued up on the s2k yet but what are your thoughts on the cosworth panel filter sumopower sell? I have had induction kits on other cars and the most they do is just add noise (sometimes lose power from heat soak etc.)
The s2k air box looks ok and with a panel filter up grade and some 10mm holes drilled along the front edge of the air box do you think this would add some extra flow/induction roar? Keeps the OEM look to which is nice.
I like the look of the mugen CF airbox and snorkel but don't like the cost and having to cut the bonnet supports to fit it.
Any ideas?

Nothing wrong with a clean OEM filter, in fact with the built in velocity bell mouth you would be hard pressed to find a better one. K& N is re usable but not better. Drilling holes won't help with heat soak, keep your eye out for a used snorkel and do the spoon mod to the insides of the OEM box and you won't get much better this side of £200.
either above or an aem v2 intake, at the end of the day the s is well tuned out of the box but that doesn't mean gains can't be had if your prepared to spend the dosh Look at MB's car.
Your looking at least 2k upwards for parts second hand for a 20bhp wheel gain n/a. Just gives you an idea.
i am running a Cosworth filter in stock air box with a carbon cooling panel feeding air to it and have noticed no difference at all tbh,
the Honda unit is basically a induction kit so you will see virtually no gains from a replacement panel other then they are washable and you wont have to replace it.
Induction kits on stock cars, i.e not mapped you get a shiny pipe with a more expensive filter for lots of money and still little power gains.
Similar story on exhaust manifolds as the stock system is a 4 branch system already, you will see little power gains but mostly its PRETTY engine bay BLING
The F20c in N/A form does not react well to tuning as Honda did a amazing job developing it to be pretty much the best it can be without spending thousands on it with cams, springs, retainers, exhaust, induction, ECU, changing v-tec engagement point and upping the rev limit,
