Default Coupla things

Hello all,

The S is coming up to its 45k service, but I've noticed recently that if I have the wheels on a lot of lock when I start it up (usually happens when I've parked in a supermarket car park etc), a rattling comes from the underside of the engine. Soon disappears once the lock is wound off, but should I be panicking or has something minor come loose and is simply rattling against the rack? I'm only asking so I can direct Bristol Honda's mechanics to the source quicker come service time.

I've also wangled a set of Toyo T1-Rs for the S2000 (and the M3!) for 'testing' purposes, any MY04> owners fitted these? How do they compare to the Bridgies? I've only once fitted anything other than OE tyres to my S and it was a total disaster.

Finally, I had an Evo IX MR on loan the other week, which is the most powerful Evo ever built since the somewhat flawed FQ-400 Evo VIII. It was utterly brilliant, and as a long-time Evo fan it was a delight to be driving this last-of-the-line, 'classic' Evo (before the clutchless sequential Evo X appears next year). But getting back into the S was like taking a step up in class, not down - sure, the Evo had the edge in terms of grunt and grip, but the S2000 is much more of a precision tool, and more rewarding to get right. The end result? Loved the Evo IX to bits... but I wouldn't chop the S2K in for one.

Just thought that last bit might give n00b owners a warm feeling inside! Cos it did for me!

Cheers

Matt
