Default Couple o'questions

Apologies if these are a little stale, i've been off the boards for a while;

1) Has anyone done a straight comparison of the new 2002 s2000 with the existing one? Obviously new glass back window, blah blah blah, but have they changed anything interesting? A couple of months ago there was some discussion about new suspension settings. Does anyone know if this has made a difference to the handling? I haven't seen any reviews in car mags, but then again, I gave up on Autocar when they started slagging my S2K off.

2) Has anyone driven Bruntingthorpe? I've got a track day there in a couple of weeks, just wondered if anyone had any opinions of the place

The mods are only to the alignment, I dont think any components were changed. I had mine done about a month ago now and initially I couldnt tell the difference, however over the last week Ive noticed that the car seems to understeer a little now, something I never felt it do before.

I've been told by guy from tech dept spring rates have been altered & poss damper settings. The revised geometry settings are not for 2002 model cars according to bulletin

thanks pete - sorry, bit slow today. the jury seems to be out both on whether it can be done and/or it is worth doing.

do we think that these are the "changes to suspension" that autocar originally mentioned for the 2002 s2k? ie. once i have this work done to my s2000 there will be no handling differences between mine and the new car?

It's interesting that despite the original criticisms of the car, no magazine has been bothered to try the revised ones!

One would have thought they'd jump at the chance. Maybe they might once the spring weather arrives.

Otherwise, it will appear strange. I can understand the car isn't to everyone's taste, but the UK journo's seem to damn it excessively with faint praise.

Perhaps it's because they spend all their time licking BMW's and Porsche's exhaust pipes.
