What is it with people and flea-bay?! There is so much junk on there! The advert for that exhaust manifold on eBay doesn't even tell you who the manufacturer is! How can you substantiate the sellers so-called gains when you don't even know who made it?!

Making an exhaust manifold is a complicated business and to get proven gains is even harder! Ask the boys behind www.ricks2k.com if you don't believe me!

And just to give you another reason why I am so sceptical of the eBay item, Hayward and Scott can fabricate one for around

Excellent now I am really confused.....

Plenty of choices from the research I've done looks like everybody has their own opinion.

In peoples honest opinion which feels like it's gives a power gain and did anyone change anything else at the same time?

First mod of many to come I feel......

Cheers

Ah, the proverbial can of worms!

Spoon, Mugen and J's Racing offer a replacement ECU which, when combined with their manifolds, exhausts and Air intakes, offer slightly more power and response.

With simple fluid dynamics in mind, You won't notice the difference with the header unless you use a decat pipe or a high-flow catalytic convertor AND an exhaust.

If I were you, I would do more searching and reading on this forum first, decide what you want to do with the car (some argue it is better to start with the handling of the car - I am one of them!)...

I was considering that a couple of months back, I did a quick tot up and I got up to 5K and stopped counting cost's and thought I could put that + whatever I got for the car towards something else.

After considering the options (not much compared with the S) perhaps Espirit or 911 but love the reliability of the Honda.

So as I have got to change the manifold time for a look about.

In regards to suspension have a muz brace on order, then looking at braided hoses for the brakes, what else can you recommend?

Is it for track or road use, or a bit of both?

Modding is a bottomless pit unless you buy something that is as fast as you want out the box, and you dont feel the need to make it look better IMO. I try and bear that in mind when im on the verge of clicking the spend button now
