Default Crazy Summer Sun ????

As I go to and come from work early / late the roads are pretty much empty and I have a sweet 8 mile drive to work. Even at the times I need to commute the sun is sill blazing down and I have found my self driving like a speed freak! Yesterday I was driving down a country(ish) road at 120 - WTF. Today on my way into work I felt disappointed when I felt the car being to run out of steam at 132 with the roof down!!! This is insane.

OK, my hands are up, I usually drive fast, BUT NOT STUPID. Anyone else going crazy in the sun ?

Just think of all the bugs you'll have to clean off at that speed
Having said that, I also drive on completely empty roads on the way to work and after some empirical study, can concur with your findings re 132

Same here, I have currently taken to driving whilst listening to Frank Sinatra on the way to work to slow me down, it was getting stupid.

28 day jail sentence, and a two year ban. With that sort of ban, you either sign on, or emigrate.

Paul, I'm not at all sure that that would make much difference. They were done for dangerous driving - I can't see that 140 is any less dangerous than 150.......?

That said, it may be that the CPS has a convention of only pushing a DD charge if the speed is over a specified limit - I don't know, as I don't deal with this kind of law.

Either way, you get done at that speed and it's REALLY going to ruin your day, whatever the legal niceties of the particular charge you face.

Signed: Mr Holier-than-thou who has absolutely never never never shown an indicated speed of 149mph on the M60 late on a Friday night.
