We don`t bother taking the S2000 to the Lakes, lots of narrow lanes and traffic, we take the Swift Sport it`s better on those roads.

A Swift Sport is probably the ideal car - you can see better over the dry-stone walls. And to dive into the gateways in a hurry...

I suppose the same applies to a CofE.

I'm regularly in the same dillemma when going away. The decision to use the CRV usually boils down to two factors - the weather and the amount if luggage my wife needs to take

I wouldn't have that dilemma, the CRV is currently SORN'ed .... so I would take the Jazz

For a holiday in the Lakes it would be my CRV.
Just because we go on walking holidays and would need muddy boots and all the walking equipment that would not fit in the S.

Also - a huge factor would be the muddy car parks and leaving the car unattended for hours.

Agree with this.

One (big) thing less to worry about if you take the CRV.

I went for a weekend away in the Derbyshire Dales last year and took the DD - not worrying about where it's left, etc. Can make the difference between a relaxing weekend away and a stressful one.
