Have any admin had any luck contacting him with whatever additional details you may have?

"approved" is like "nutritionist" or "accountant" or "other charlatan"- It has no meaning at all in law.

Unlike "solicitor" which means it IS safe to assume the guy is a totally disorganised prat, although there are of course still exceptions.

"approved body repairer" means "we get such a quid pro quo bung off them we CGAF they do a shit job and you cannot complain to us about it"

Exactly the same way "Ltd" means "trade at your peril" and is the opposite of the badge of respectability that many muppets assume it to be.

Caveat emptor!

Look guys if you have issues with CTL can you take it up with them directly and in private !!! What a cop out.....if you had kept my post running somebody might have saved some money I pointed out that the guy lied to me on the prices he asked me to pay he then posted it was a mistake and I pointed out he only wanted paying "cash" etc etc. All was very fishy and because my alarm bells rang I posted "problems dealing with CTL" and was told to sort it out in private not so bloody private now is it!

Why for once can a moderator not accept they made a mistake and then I will stop posting it so looks like rules for traders are different to private individuals for complaints and it seems that is why moderators on here keep telling me to back off. Lesson learnt I hope if someone complains look into it dont just try and bury it cos it so looks like my gut feeling about the guy was valid now unfortunately.

"All proceeds from this [traders] programme will go to S2KUK (as agreed with cthree) to support the club and its members."

Sounds like a framework guarantee.
But I guess we'll see in time.

Barefoot, I don't think you are getting it tbh. But I will admit to being a twat or anything else if you would stop posting the same thing all the time

Your post was of value in that it brought the BACS thing to our attention, but as you didn't actually buy anything or get ripped off, and CTL came on with an explaination, the thread was closed by a mod. You didn't get ripped off, no money changed hands, you just didn't like the form of payment they were offering.

We are going around in circles there though - please give it a rest. The is no "ban" on posting anyhting negative about a trader, as long as it's justified.

I have phoned a company close by to the address given on above web site - City Styling, and they left their unit 6 months ago.

Companies house list Aaron Yates as a director.
He bought the share capital from Barry Jones in January 2008.

On the 29th September 2009:
The registrar of companies gave notice, unless cause is given to the contrary, at the expiration of 3 months City Styling Limited
will be struck off the register and the company will be dissolved.

They should have posted their annual accounts in November and have failed to do so.

Aaron Yates address:
16 Bridgeside Close
Clayhanger
Walsall
West Midlands
WS8 7BN

His Company Secretary:
Barry Jones
45 Medway Road
Walsall
West Midlands
WS8 7JY

Bare - FFS - You have said what you needed to say about 40 times now.

Please no more.

You might just be the first person to make it on to my ignore list.

I think barefoot has a point. He rightly raised concerns about dubious trading practices and was suppressed as a 'trouble maker'. Yes he is banging on a little now, but his original point looks more and more valid.

That doesn't look good also.

I really do hope this gets sorted out!

I didn't realise he was a new bussiness. With the amount/type of items he was selling I assumed CTL was a large established company.

Has anyone heard of him on the Evo forums?
