Default damn & bugger!

hi,

had my ctr in for a check-up today and decided to have a wee sit inside an S to check out if it really was the car for me...

was worried that it would be too small inside as i'm 6' 3" and built to last - was pleasantly surprised by the room inside - all except the room for my left leg - was basically too snug against the steering wheel - i hunted in vain for the adjuster to raise the steering wheel but the salesman told me they don't actually have one

i'm really deperessed about this - thought i had found my next car and was very close to getting it - the only solution i can think of is to fit a smaller steering wheel - i reckon i need around two extra inches (steady vicar) for it to be comfortable/safe to drive... either that or have a few inches of my left leg removed...

this was an 03 model i was thinking of getting - does the 04 have a steering wheel adjuster?

i'm feeling so down...

Go ahead and get the S Billy.
I'm 6'4" and yes it's a snug fit but you'll find that the S2000 has been designed for you to wear it rather than just sit in and point it.
You will not be uncomfortable, but will be at one with the car.

Buy one. Get the new blue.

If it does not fit, no probs - just give it to me.

No adjustable steering column on the 04 either, I'm afraid.

Some of the US guys lower the seat by about an inch. I think it takes some work though. Or you could factor in the cost of getting some nice Recaros

They have more hunchfronts than we do.
It's something to do with all those burgers they eat.

I think you will find that all the tall people that drive an 'S' actually prefer the snug fit! I do for one!!! The cramped feeling makes you feel like you are in a sports car! Go on you know you want one!!!!!!!!!!

I've just had a revelation on my seating position. Just knocked the seat back, back a notch and it's now perfect. One of the best driving positions I've ever experienced, and I'm 6'2 and pretty well built
