right you've all convinced me - i'll go back and have another go - maybe i missed something...

i reckon that putting a different steering wheel on might make a big difference - you can buy momo ones etc that should be a good bit smaller than the one on the S...

anyone got any thoughts on doing this...

i'm not totally mad on the idea of ripping th seats out and drilling/welding etc like the USA guys have done but i'd maybe take the seat out and remove some of the padding - so do half of what they suggest...

i think doing that and fitting a smaller steering wheel might just make the difference...

Another think you might try is turning up at a meet and talking to some of the owners. They may be able to give you advice that you can't get in a showroom.
