Default Dash Scuff Marks

Hello all!

I own a 04 s2k and had a question really,

The passenger side of the car on the dash under the airbag rectangle sectioning has about 6-8 lined scuff marks. Kinda like if u used a rubber and drawn lines on the dash with it.

Ive no idea how to remove these, ive tried a damp cloth to see if they were removable but are still there. Theres no scratches or imprints, just these lined scuff marks like the previous owners passanger had their trainer on the dash or something. (Not that you could bend your leg at that angle anyway!)

When the roofs down in the sunlight you can see them all quite clearly and its horrible.

I was just wondering what the dash is actully (i thought it was leather, until being corrected by someone on here a few weeks ago) and if anyone has any ideas on how to restore it ?

Thanks

I think it's vinyl - no idea what you could use but I'm sure someone will.

I think the Yanks recommend Lexol.

I'm sure I've seen a link for a distributor in the UK somewhere, but you may have to search around a bit to find it.

EDIT: Pakshak stock it and there is an S2kUK club deal aswell Click

If it is rubber soles leaving a mark I recomned white spirit. Try it in a spot first but it should work. If that doesn't work try a rubber brush, the kind you use on suede and that might do it. If it is a scratch it will be very difficult to remobe, if not impossible.

I had some similar sounding marks on the dash of my wifes car. I tried all sorts of things to no avail.

As a last resort I applied some plexus to a piece of cotton towel and viola......gone! Excellent stuff!
