Considering decatting my dual buddyclub system, does anyone know do I need a buddyclub specific decat(if they exist?) or will any decat do?

Also, anyone able to link me to any videos of the same setup to gimme an idea of sound?

as for de-cat you are replacing a stock honda cat so any s2000 de-cat pipe will fit,
the garage-r one from rob is good because it has the extended CEL light fix part built into it and is a very good price.

I really would like one for my car but my invidia system would be too loud with a de-cat fitted.

See I'm thinking that about the loudness too, the dual buddyclub on mine is well loud lol...was thinking it couldn't get much louder with decat and hopefully just a bit more raspy sounding...

 

from previous experience with vtec cars a h22 prelude and b16 crx a de-cat will make it much louder and less respy, allot more noise im not sure if the f20c in the s200 reacts the same so hopefully someone who has de-catted can comment/help.

 

No idea about decat's on an after market system with the S2000 but on the OEM exhaust it makes it marginally louder. The decat I had on my EP3 made my after market system louder but then it depends on the system. Mine was a Fujitsubo which is renowned to be quiet anyway...

Buddyclub's and Invidia's are uber loud though from what I have read on the forum and seen on YouTube with a decat fitted.

 

I fitted a de cat with my spoon single and it's much louder but removed the drone and is actually easier on the ear when cruising at motorway speed but very loud otherwise, loves setting of vw golf alarms.

 

lol, yeah, my BC system set off a bunch of car alarms in an underground car park the other day was quite funny as I drove past cars they all freaked out

Maybe just buy a decat and see what I think and if it is too loud sell it
