hi i'm going to fit my decat i just got at the weekend , if the CEL light came on does it kill the performance of the car or will it just come on and all be the same i'm waiting for the spacer to come from america for the lamba but thought i'd see how loud it would be?

 

Makes no difference to performance.. just makes you paranoid if you don't have a code reader!!

It probably won't appear instantly either, it'll probably catch you out whilst driving around like mine does! even though mine already has a built in spacer!

 

I have never had a problem with the car, decated for 3 years, with a Berk decat. Best of luck.

 

If you're on the standard exhaust, the decat won't make a jot of difference to the noise.

 

its not standard its on a powerflow cat back and a 4-2-1, 2"-2.5" manifold from america, so even if i space it out it might still come on, i have a mate who has a code reader so it's not to bad if it does, cheers for the info chaps
