If I were to put anything but the RE050 Bridgestone tyres on - would this be classed as a mod?

Most insurance assesors wouldnt know aftermarket from OEM on a car like the S. (the more subtle mods that is) It's only when you smash the thing and want to recoupe that

Don't declare the mods.

Just think of the thread we could have on here when winter starts.

I've had both.

Like for like, and stock replacement (which is funny, as stock replacement would usually cost more).

I've also had agreed value policies, trackday included policies, and the best one "do any mods to your car and it'll not cost you extra" policy and that was with track insurance and agreed value. Was also the cheapest I could find.

It is with regret that the relationship between Dorset Insurance Group and the MR2 Drivers Club has come to an end.
It was a mutual decision, as unfortunately we were unable to agree on the way the MR2 Drivers Club membership was policed.

We can assure you that existing cover is unaffected and we will continue to assist any MR2 Drivers Club member in any way we can.
Was for MR2's only, but then a lot of people joined the club just for insurance so it all got a bit out of hand.
