Deep scratches
I have removed my stock mirrors and due to them being tightened securely in the factory - they have left circular scratches.
I won't be able to get rid of them completely I know but is there a magic solution ?
I have a tub of Scratch-X which I have yet to try, but wondered if that, coupled with a good polish will do the trick ?

If you need more than Scratch X then you will need to go to a bodyshop to get it fixed. Somebody like Chips Away might be able to do it for you.
Try the Scratch X first. proceed carefully as the paint is none to thick. Watever the result apply polish and wax after the Scratch X.

Scratch X will only get rid of very light swirls and marks.
Think you need an orbital buffer with the Poorboys SSR range.
If the paint has gone then its a touch up job.
Rahul is the master of this sort of thing...

Chipsaway is a thought.
The scratches are not that deep...they go below the level of the paint, and are dirty which doesn't help.
I wondered if there was "Wonder product" I had missed.
I'll try Scratch-X and a few other things tomorow before a good polish. I'm sure I can diminish the impact.
thanks all

If the scratches are deep i.e. you can get your fingernail into them then is very little chance that you can fix them with a polish. You could apply some paint to the affected area and build it up, then wet-sand them down and finally give it a good polish. Can be done if you are happy to do it. No Moff, I am no expert.

I had some similar scratches when I removed my front plate holder, managed to get most of them off using Zaino ZPC Fusion, which I guess is similar to Scratch X.
If they're deep then a bit of touchup paint followed by a few passes with 2000 grit wet sandpaper (not as scary as it sounds, just cut a small piece off and stick it to something flat) and then Scratch X should do the trick. I've done a similar thing with stonechips. If you mess that up then call Chipsaway

Best way is with a hole punch, superglue, pencil.
Punch a ole in some 2000 grith W&D & glue the circle to the rubber on the end of the pencil.
Dab of paint cleaner & carefully 'rub' scratch.
You will have to re-polish area afterwards.
If it's too deep, try filling with clearcoat or paint first.
It's how you flat off repainted stonechips, but it does work on scratches/birdshit damage reasonably well too.
