Does anyone have any expierence of removing parking type dents from doorskins?

I dont want to pay for a pro to do it as its on a cheap car im selling.(not the S!!)

I also dont expect miracles just an improvement, just spoils an otherwise
nice looking motor.

I got rid of one out of my CTR rear quarter. All i used was the plastic end of a screwdriver handle (a ball ended type) and located the dent from the inside by tapping the skin. Once i found the dent i just gave it a bit of pressure over a few goes and it was gone, i was really chuffed as you couldn't even see where it had been.

This doesn't harm the paint on the inside either.

 

Sounds silly, but try using the back of a large spoon to press the dent back out from the inside.

 

I'l give it a little pressure to start with then, nothing to lose.

 

Its metal in the end of the day so you need to give it some reasonable force. Just be progressive.

 

Trouble is for over twenty years i have been constructing commercial
vehicles from ground up and im a bit heavy handed with a hammer!
