Default Dim dashboard lights

Sat in traffic on my way home tonight and it struck me that the dashboard lights are very dim in my S, in particular the Audio Control panel. Is it case of "They're all like it Sir" or would I see an improvement if I replaced all the bulbs for new? (I have turned up the dimmer to max before you ask)

I doubt changing bulbs would help. Have you compared to another S?

Not had the opportunity yet, S's are a bit thin on the ground around here. It's just one of those things you don't really notice until you see it, and now it really bugs me. I did find the LED dash bulb thread on the Yank forums but that looks too bright. Comparing it to another as you sugested is a great idea, I'm def coming to the MK meet when the weather improves.

Bulbs?

If you're trying to light the dash with Tulips, then that is the problem.
Unless you're Dutch.

Located in the secret compartment?

Or is it next to the window lock switch?

Tried this already but it only seems to adjust the main panel and not the two panels either side. It's these 2 that seem very dim to me. Not to worry, thanks for the suggestions.
