Default DISASTER!

I put the roof down this morning to go to work, and when it got about half way down I heard a loud bang and looked behind me to see my now knackered rear screen
I presume it was just a combination of age (2001), and low temps (this happened at six thirty this morning), although I've had the roof down in much colder weather without problems

I guess I'll be spending tommorow trying to get a new roof rather than going to the shooting show

I think I might as well get a complete hood (mine was already looking a bit tired), so at least I can get something good out of this by upgrading to a glass screen...

Hardly a disaster then! Was expecting to read about an S2000 being smashed to smitherines..

Seriously though, bad luck, they do get ever so brittle with age. Expect to pay around

You're right, It's only a mini disaster. no crashes involved for once.

I'm just starting to trawl the internet looking for the replacement, Looks like it'll cost nearer a grand for one with a glass window

There's a used 2004 hood on ebay for

Nope, I park at work (chelton/cobham) on the industrial park.

I'll give car hood warehouse a ring tommorow, they list a glass screen as an option on their site but don't give the price.

Is that a heated rear screen, or would I need a stock hood for that?

0/ to the marlow boy - I work in Henley and am getting married at the Compleat Angler on 30th May.

Interested in the new roofs - my car was broken into last sunday, and I've just noticed they've split the roof. I'm planning to tell the repair place on Monday in the hope that they'll replace it on the insurance....
