Do you forget how good the S is?
Been driving around all winter taking it very slowly after a spin last year, this w/e was the first time I opened her up,
Just had a fantastic drive down to a stag w/e in Bournemouth and back, also went to the Wessex Raceway Indoor Karting track, in the afternoon a great way to spend an afternoon, 30 people in a Grandprix....Fantastic fun for only

It is a fantastic car. At the moment its not my daily driver so I do forget while driving my other car, but it's great to get back into it and see what it does.
Just give it a bit more respect in the wet and cold than my FWD, but keep it smooth and I'm all day long.

I often forget - usually after a week or two away from the car, or a week or two away from driving it on decent roads.
I still seem to discover things out about it that I never seemed to know before - ie high speed stability and composure.
Performance of the 04/05 and it's tyres continues to impress me with its ability in poor road conditions.

Yes.
Especially when I've been away from it for a few days. Not so much this time of year though.
My brother sold his in June just past. He was up for the weekend and had a blast.
Lets just say he regrets getting a dog and having to sell his

Yes.
Was driving round in a Z4 3.0i over Christmas (Dads car) - didn't drive the S2000 at all for nearly three weeks.
Getting back in the S2000 was a revelation.

I prefer mine over the MY00 I had. Not just for the more composed handling.
Back on topic. My co car is off the road at the mo. Did a deal with my Boss, he fuels the Honda until it is fixed. I have managed 2300 miles since 21 Dec
I this car what ever the the weather or road conditions!

Tricky and I had a rental '05 Mustang convertible in Florida over Christmas. Sloppy bag o'shite that was! It was the 4.0 V6 auto and I've been in better handling cross-Channel ferries than that!
Coming back home to dry, cold roads was a revelation. Full power acceleration up to 80mph was brilliant (difficult to do more over here) and reminded me exactly why I love the S.

Euan - were you not unhappy with the difference between the 04 and earlier cars a few months ago

But......
I have found the set up on the 04/05 to be so much more composed and stable in poor road conditions (ie winter), that I can push the car much more than the 02 in the same conditions, and can also drive quickly but without the regular butt clenching moments I got in the older car. I suppose what I'm saying is that you can get a lot more out of the car in the winter, and this makes it more fun.
Rest assured, I'll start moaning about the 04/05 not gripping as well come April time
Ideally I'd like an 02 for the summer, and an 04/05 in the winter for driving fun all year round.
