Interestingly Sheff, it's a similar speed to what P1 was doing when his car was written off in the Dales. That was a slow meet, the road was extremely slippery, worn tar in place - and it was all over in seconds.
Just glad you're ok.
Tears for the car!

Sorry to hear about the car. Sadly one less on the road but at least you are okay.

I would be interested in a spare key fob and the mats, where are you located?

Seems an awful lot of bent metal for 35mph. I witnessed an mx5 accident yesterday in the flesh and the road was motoring at 45-50 and his damage in similar circumstances was nothing like as bad as yours there. The twisted alloy, that must have twatted the pavement at some tilt.

Seems strange to be bouncing from an impact on one side then to another at that speed. Good to hear that you ok and sorted

Could of given an new S a shot though but after 4 maybe a change would be nice. Had mine 2

I used low rears purposely for a bit of fun - but - you HAD to be careful and choose your weather

This issue with the wet road performance of the S2000 always comes up, and i often wonder about it.

I have been driving mine for 8 years now and for sure it can feel very twitchy in the wet and on slippery surfaces, but is this more to do with the fact that we mostly drive around in front drive rep mobils and jumping into a rear drive car with a bit of grunt takes a different approach? The inhherant under steer front drive car is so different is it not and much more noticealbe in a rear drive in the wet as it goes into oversteer. Also with the S as aposed to say a TVR or the like the engine has tiddly squit of Torque so inducing large amounts of oversteer in thoeory should be more difficult for an S driver, although i admit it does seem easy in the wet! That said its strange that it does have predigous grip in the dry. SO is it a geo problem?

I drive a Citreon C2 all week and a Jazz at the weekends, both have no power but can easily be provoked into wild wheel spin in the wet etc, esp the C2 with the Deisal Engine ( and easy to gets massive understeer)to the point where one can change up to 2 nd and keep spinning if one wants to, it all ways worries mehow people in rep mibils etc do not seem to moderate there driving in the wet? Or do i need to because i drive so fast in the dry ? but then again i dont seem to be the fastest person out here by a long chalk.

But the most important thing in all of this is no injuries only pride and metal damaged!!!!!!!!
