I'm sorry gents, but if you read this thread from start to finish as I have you would come to the conclusion that we are nothing but a group whingers.

If the S2000 had trounced the Civic everyone would think the show was "very fair". I still want an S, but wake up - they were both top drivers.

It just proves what I thought when I had my Evo VI - the difference between all these cars on the roads is not as big as we would like to believe.

Hold my hands up to the CTR, but we all knew if it was wet / Plato was driving the other it would be close, but both, the S2000 did pretty well!

Had to laugh at the S2000 driver choice, who the hell is he, the best way would have been to swap cars over, I was in awe of Plato opposite locking his Front WD CTR round that last corner, brilliant! Mowlem had a couple of Arse twitches that was it! would have loved to see the S2000 in his hands on the track.

In the rain last night on the way home, I tip-toed round, 1.8 Focus was nailing the large roundabout in front of me, just wished it was dry.

Anyway, the S2000 is now confirmed as a dragster!

I knew it was going to be bad when Mowlem turned up in a Boxster He would have let a metro beat him, rather than confirm the S2000 as the business

I would agree with that!

If you do want a big difference try a bike!

Hey - have just learned that the S2000 type V (sold in Japan only) does come with, among other things, traction control.
Could it be that the S2000 on Drivel was one of these ?
(De-badged, obviously, and with a different steering wheel) ?

Personally, I think not !
Interesting that manufacturer-fitted traction control does exist, though.

Yes - it would explain a lot. I found the info in another thread which included a link to a site listing the type-v spec. Will try to find it again.

Turned the traction control off indeed!

As I've previously posted, these morons thought an Alfa 147 was a 146 and would ride well coz its got big tyres (?)

A FWD with more area under the torque curve, similar power and weight, probably better aerodynamics will beat a RWD, as its handling is more tolerant of ham-fisted driving. I'm unsurprised by the result.

I actually wish I'd bothered to watch it now, though.
