Ride Drive seem to have a generally good reputation .... I work with one of their instructors (who does it part time - as I think most do) and knowing roughly what they teach I think it is good for the road ....

I think ridedrive might just win the vote here - the only thing about car limits is it looks like they don't sit in the car with you all the time - I want one on one tuition.

I'll give them both a call and sound them out.

Thanks all!

Don Palmer, you will not beat him. Premium price though.

Otherwise Andy Walsh at Car Limits, offers discounts to S2KUK Members
See here:

And the other is an MSE Academy day.

Ride Drive are on the road training, a bit like RoSPA or IAM (although better) The also offer S2KUK Discount

I did a day with ride drive a couple of years ago. My instructor was a Police driver instructor in Southampton. I picked him up and we drove through the country lanes from Southampton to an airfield in Gloucester. Certainly taught me what to do and what not to do, both on the roads and on the airfield.
Be aware that your bad habits will be pointed out to you!
Well worth it!

You don't need someone to sit in the car with you when you do the Car Limits course ....... it is done on an old airfield carpark.

I found it quite intensive but you do learn a *lot* about the limits of your car in a save environment.

North Weald is quite close to you.

(Are you coming to the Herts meet on Thurdsay?)

Car Limits is intriguing me now. Must call those companies!!

Thanks for all your help everyone.
