Default Drop Straight in to 6th!

I have a small problem with get my S into and out off 6th, it started a few weeks ago just cruising down the A2/M2 at around 4500 rpm.

Now the Dealer has got to get Honda Care to clear the repair but he started quizzing me on how i change gear ?? Saying that I should not 'ever' drop the S2000 straight from say 4th to 6th, and that when new they come with a advisory slip on the gear stick that says this???

Is this true, as i've never hread of it? And it is in the hand book (at work dont have mine to hand)??

I think 3rd to 6th is pushing it, but 4th to 6th?? I don't recall a warning notice on the gearknob of either of my S2000s.

If Honda knobs have warning stickers on then every member of the Honda sales community should have a 'WARNING BELLEND' attached to their Primark shirts.

In fact, so I don't wear the gearbox out so quickly, I have 'odd number' gear days and 'even number' gear days where I only use 'odd' (1,3 &5) or 'even' (2, 4 & 6)numbered gears, so they last twice as long....

ok...I'm joking....

WTF is wrong with the world nowadays ?

Why can't they just admit that the box is shagged for no apparant reason and do the decent thing.

I would have had more respect for the guy if he had said that the problem was caused by the fact that wearing jeans on a Wednesday and changing from 4th to 6th direct is bad for the box.

Doesn't it make you sad to see how many fools there are currently employed in this country ?

Surely its easy to get a knowledgeable Sales person into a Honda garage ?

Based on the stories you hear about them...they must pay them peanuts

I uesed to go from any gear to 6th.
1st 9k straight to 6th as to not break the speed limit.
As long as rev matching i think i got away with 6th -2nd but that was at really slow speed around town.
Usuall driving 3-6 and 6-3 when needed with no problems.
