drowning the cat
no not the pussy
but the catalytic converter
is it possible to damage the cat by driving through water? - last night many of my routes were flooded and having turned back on one occasion I thought I'd just have to bite the bullet and drive through one in order to get home - In the owners manual it mentions that the cat runs very hot and I was wondering what the temperature change of being immersed in cold water might to do it?

I'd have said "no different than," but I'm an American, so there's no telling if it's correct usage or not. <g>

P.S. I can't imagine water damaging the cat. However, the thread title did remind me of the Monty Python skit where Mrs. Premise and Mrs. Conclusion are discussing "four hours to put down the cat... it kept wigglin' around and all."
