Default Dry as a Bone

Been over in Mancheter today visiting relatives. Was coming back along the M56 with the roof down as it was a nice day when I left.

At about the M6 Turn off I suddenly hit a cloud burst of major proportions. Windscreen wipers on full, and head lights on. I'm just beginning to look for somewhere to pull over so I can get the roof up before I'm a sodden mess when I realise I'm not getting wet at all.

Ok the downpour only lasted 1~2 minutes but I was amazed how dry the cabin stays at motorway speeds even with a heavy rain storm

I find that in moderate rain, go at 38mph or over and nothing gets wet. However, I have also found that activating the headlight washer jets even at 80mph results in a wet forehead. Go figure!

I think it depends on the direction / strength of the rain. Yesterday, my head and headrests got wet (on the A1) from 30 to above 100. It dries out fast enough though - glad I didn't have to stop.

its a bummer when it has lashed down for ages, you have your windows up but roof down, you get a stream of water coming over the top of the window

Boiler, is it me or does your car look wonky?

Looks like the front end melted during the recent heatwave.

I'm not too sure what "wonky" means? I'm going to assume that I would say that it looks "funny".

To answer your question, no it's not you. The car is fine, the picture isn't the best in the world. One of these days, I'll break down and get a good digital camera. This was taken by my digital camcorder and it's only VGA resolution (640X480).
