Dumb question perhaps but I'm on dialup and filtering through the search results takes hours.

How do you know when s02 fronts are worn or on their way out and what mm tread do they start out with?

Ask because i purchased a set of old oem wheels with tyres on the fronts and none on the rears, so need to know if its okay just to get rears.

I wouldn't run S02s below 2mm. They start at about 7mm IIRC

 

I agree with what Neil says. Mine are at about 1.7mm and they it feels really odd to drive.

 

Yep Just put new SO2's on the rear replacing the 2-3mm SO2's that were on there, handling has been transformed The new ones have 8mm according to my tyre depth guage
