Dyno Proven mods?
Looking to add 20whp in a cost effective, reliable way. I know enough of you guys have done it and dynoed the car, so let me know. I want to avoid the SC/Turbo route, and I know head work w/ems will do it but I'm looking at $3k.
I also want opinions on final drive gears, I hear you can have them bought and installed for $1k and gain .5 seconds in the quater????

20 whp is expensive.
I think you could do it with a good intake, maybe an enlarged throtte body, a J's manifold, decat, probably a good single exit exhaust and an AEM UCU with a good mapper.
More important than peak with those mods, is the fact you will get big gains throughout the rev range.
I think you are in the US so I would ask on the US forum. They seem to be able to get 20 bhp with an intake and a piggyback map

The ONLY N/A mod worth doing is gears, bang for buck wise.
No extra horsepower obviously, but probably comparable in terms of performance to an extra 20-25bhp.
There's a Best Motoring clip which shows a 2006 car vs a 2000 one which has the 4.57 ratio final drive and the difference iin acceleration is remarkable.
