Default Dyno Results

Hey, just had my s2k dyno'd by a friend of mine, made 250bhp & 157lbft.

I've just got a decat pipe and bypass pipes. Any suggestions on what to do next to gain more power? Been looking at turbo kits rather than superchargers, but any suggestions on what's best?

Cheers

250 BHP at the rear wheels? Or flywheel?

What's best? The ultimate question. Look around here.

That's a generous Dyno! Most S2000's make about 215 fly power...

In fact my MY07 after being mapped on flashpro with a 70mm exhaust and test pipe with an FIPK made 246 and that was the most powerful result Eurospec and Romain had ever seen from those mods!

I'm curious about mine too and have an appointment in 10 days. FIPK, 63,5mm highflow cat, Tanabe Medalion Touring exhause.

Problem in comparing results, of course, is the differences in dynos and atmosphere conditions.

250bhp ATF, i'm waiting for the print out

I think you're mistaken, 215 the fly is a very poor figure... :/

You won't get any more accurate than this dyno I can assure you!

Mine pulled 187 at the wheels with the calculated flywheel at 224. Obviously all cars are different but that's a big difference in the drivetrain losses.

Mine is a standard 2008 which had a K&N at the time

As long as you use the same dyno for any future mods you can see the changes made

Where would you like me to start pulling that statement apart?

Numbers are arbitrary anyway as long as you are happy with it.

Put a turbo on it,get a good map and your ass dyno will tell you when you've got enough power......trust me you will know when you've got enough power.

This dyno calculates its own transmission losses and doesn't just make them up, used for 1200hp GTR's etc.

Regardless, i've seen the Full-Race kit, is it worth using? I've made plenty of manifolds before so i'm wondering whether its worth just making my own rather than buying poor quality/cost inflated parts.

Also what about AEM ecu's? Is this the best of the best, or is there a better option for the money?

Cheers!
