The remote on the left is for the Honda factory fitted unit that's on the 2002 (and a few earlier years) models. It operates the doors and boot.
When those models were imported into the UK, Honda UK fitted a CAT-1 standard alarm and immobiliser (from Hamilton & Palmer) that links into the Honda (Japan) original and controls doors, boot, alarm and immobiliser.

Therefore you *can* use the Japanese original to unlock the doors and boot, *but* if you open any of the doors or boot the UK alarm will activate. Only the UK fitted device will deactivate the alarm and immobiliser.

Note: Later models have a different alarm fitted - not the H&P device - commonly know as a P.o.S.

Hello everybody

I have the same problems. I try to get a second key which is able to control door, alarm and immobiliser.

So i send a email to Hamilton and palmer because my car is a model from 2002 but what happened after?

I want a combined key and fob so they're not both the same

Here's my current fob type

Here's the ebay fob

Can't see the pictures Trunkie - would be very interested to if possible, I'm keen to get to a single key with integrated alarm/imobiliser if can; I have an MY02 that has come second hand with two keys, two seperate fobs, and one integrated key that opens the car but won't switch off the alarm and imobiliser..

I also have a MY00 and I've got this keyfob: http://www.remotekey.co.uk/htdocs/im...nda-keyfob.jpg (the one on the left with boot release)

I have no idea what Honda it's suppose to be for but I've tried to sync it, but with no luck. Anyone else used this fob?
Thats the one that came with the later S2000 (got one in my hand just now) honda fitted.

you need to send an email or to phone to Hamilton and Palmer. They have what you want.
